### Thematic Focus & Accepted Media
The theme explores the intersections of physical labor, manual craft, serial repetition, and print:
* Industrial, manual, and repetitive studio routines
* The physical process of making and skilled craft
* Seriality, stamping, relief, mechanical reproduction, and copying
* Invisible and domestic labor
Eligible Media:
Open to all visual art disciplines including mixed media, collage, printmaking, sculpture, painting, ceramics, textiles, installation, drawing, and written pieces.
---
### Submission Guidelines
Artists can submit resolved existing work or projects made in response to the theme:
* Images: 1 high-resolution, well-lit photograph showing the artwork clearly without distortion or glare.
* Statement (Max 300 Words): A clear, concise text explaining how the artwork connects to the theme of labor, repetition, or material process.
* Account Requirement: An active Instagram handle is required for promotional tagging.
---
### The Steel Canvas Curatorial Note
* Direct Narrative: Selection is evaluated heavily on how clearly your statement articulates the connection to the theme. Avoid detached art-jargon; explain the repetitive physical labor, layering, or material cycles embedded in your process.
* Texture & Mark-Making: If submitting mixed media, highlight the evidence of tool marks, repetitions, serial stamps, or tactile layers in your primary photo.
