They invite global artists to step completely out of traditional, sterile white-cube studios and create work that actively dialogues with the islands' raw, dramatic, and volatile environment.

• The "Lighthouse" Advantage: The theme focuses heavily on raw terrain, elemental transformation, and the relationship between human structure and the volcanic landscape. For an artist who works with heavy textures, physical manipulation of materials, mixed media, or structural forms, this is paradise.
