Why We Hunt "Hidden" Commissions
If you’ve spent any time in the world of public art and high-end commissions, you’ve probably hit the wall: a 404 error, a broken PDF link, or a government portal that feels like it was designed in 1995.
Most people see a broken link and give up. At The Lighthouse, we see it as an opportunity.
1. The "Hidden" Advantage
The best commissions aren't always on the front page of Google. They are often buried in obscure council archives or trapped on unstable servers. When a link breaks, the "mainstream" crowd stops looking.
By digging deeper and finding the direct contact email for the project leads, I’m giving you a "backdoor" to the brief. Fewer people finding the link means less competition for you.

I personally test every opportunity I post. If the website is a mess, I won't just leave you hanging. I’ll provide:
The Fail-Safe Email: A direct line to the project manager.
The 14-Day Buffer: If a link is broken, I ensure the deadline is at least 14 days away to give you time to get a reply.
The "Maker Level" Check: I’ll tell you if the project fits your current experience scale, so you don't waste time on a brief that isn't a match.
